The Immanuel Advocacy and PACE® Teams met with Nebraska’s 2nd District Congressman Bacon on Monday, November 3. While we had him, we had specific questions about a new law that was passed in January 2025, the Elizabeth Dole 21st Century Veterans Healthcare and Benefits Improvement Act.
This law would specifically help connect veterans to a PACE® program. This new law mandates that the U.S. Secretary of Veterans Affairs “seek to enter into an agreement with the PACE® program operating in that area for the furnishing of such services."
Congressman Bacon and his staff are committed to following up with the Secretary and our local VA leadership regarding this law after the government reopens.
