We are delighted to announce that, for the 24th year in a row, the Nebraska Chapter of the National Safety Council has named Immanuel one of Nebraska’s Safest Companies.
The award celebrates organizations like Immanuel, prioritizing safety and demonstrating a commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards and programs.
“We are honored to receive our 24th consecutive Nebraska Safest Companies Award from the Nebraska Chapter of the National Safety Council,” said Julie Kaminski, Immanuel’s Chief Operations Officer. “In Immanuel’s communities and Pathways centers, safety is not just a priority — it is a core value that guides our daily operations.”
To qualify for this recognition, companies must be members of the Nebraska Safety Council and complete a comprehensive application process. This includes submitting detailed injury data and filling out the Safety Program Evaluation Scorecard, which assesses the effectiveness of a company’s safety program. The application process is secure and confidential, ensuring that all sensitive information is protected.
Applications are thoroughly reviewed, and each company’s safety statistics are compared to industry averages and similar-sized organizations. Regardless of company size or industry, the safety record matters most.
In May, Nebraska Gov. Jim Pillen honored Immanuel and other award winners at the council’s annual Celebration of Safety luncheon in La Vista.
“Winning Nebraska’s Safest Company Award clearly illustrates a company’s commitment to ensuring that their team members return home safely to their families at the end of each workday,” said Eric Koeppe, President and CEO of the National Safety Council’s Nebraska Chapter. “The Celebration of Safety honors the Nebraska organizations that have achieved excellence in safety this past year, and we are proud to recognize their achievements in providing a safer Nebraska.”
Safety and care continue to go hand-in-hand at Immanuel’s retirement living communities and Pathways centers.
“This award reflects the dedication and hard work of our entire team in maintaining a secure environment for residents and staff,” Julie said. “We remain steadfast in our commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety and care.”
