Immanuel Vision Foundation announces $1.6M in charitable grants
January 10, 2024The Immanuel Vision Foundation announced that it awarded $1,686,000 in grants to 39 ELCA congregations, agencies, and institutions in the Midwest in its most recent grant cycle.
Since 2015, the Immanuel Vision Foundation has provided financial support to nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations that align with Immanuel’s mission of Christ-centered support to seniors, each other, and the community. The foundation supports local organizations through two grant cycles. The fall grant cycle runs from August 1, 2023, to September 30, 2023, and is focused on supporting congregations and organizations affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) in Nebraska and Iowa.
The most recent grants awarded include funding for:
• Various community projects, including Nazareth Lutheran Church’s afterschool snack program for food-insecure children in Cambridge, Iowa.
• St. John’s Lutheran Church’s purchase of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) to be placed in high-traffic areas throughout the city of Schuyler, Nebraska.
• St. John’s Lutheran Church’s programming to help young people in distress in Otoe, Nebraska.
• St. John’s United Lutheran Church’s greenhouse project, which will result in fresh produce for a community food bank in Alliance, Nebraska.
