Holidays at Immanuel — Healthcare heroes make a difference
January 2, 2021We’re no stranger to extraordinary experiences at Immanuel, especially during the holidays. From incredible seasonal shows and concerts to family gatherings and “all hands on deck” decorating, our retirement living communities help residents build unforgettable holiday memories with their neighbors and families. But in a truly unforgettable year, Immanuel’s typical extraordinary experiences had to be reimagined to protect those we serve.
Safety was the theme of Christmas 2020, but our teams immediately got to to work reimagining the extraordinary. Our frontline and behind-the-scenes heroes met the challenge and created countless opportunities for senior living residents and Immanuel Pathways PACE® participants to safely connect with each other and families, reimagine beloved traditions, and find the magic of the season.
Thank you to those who went above and beyond to make this season special. Below are some highlights of the holidays throughout the Immanuel family of senior living communities and Pathways centers.
There were no shortages of special events. We welcomed Santa, Mrs. Claus and live reindeer for holiday parades, rolled turkeys, made treats and more!
Residents got crafty while learning about holiday traditions around the world.
The trees were trimmed and stockings hung throughout our retirement living campuses. New this year - many communities and centers displayed gratitude trees which encouraged residents, participants and staff to write their blessings on ornament cards.
Employees and residents lived our mission of Christ-Centered Service to Seniors, Each Other and the Community by continuing to give back through collected cards for military families and even an outing to Habitat for Humanity.
