Immanuel Pathways of Central Iowa is proud to recognize Kara Birus as a quarterly CHRIST Promises Award recipient. Kara was nominated by two colleagues who wanted to recognize her work with PACE® participants and her drive in serving others.
With more than six years at Immanuel, Kara consistently shows up each day ready to give it her all. As one nomination shared, she thoughtfully prioritizes her workload so that what matters most, the participants, always comes first. She is known as a quiet, dependable workhorse who will do whatever is needed to support participants, never seeking recognition for her efforts.
Over the past five months, Kara has gone above and beyond by serving as a department of one, managing a significant caseload with remarkable resilience, grace, and professionalism. Even during the most challenging times, she has remained positive, focused, and steadfast in her role for those we serve.
Her colleagues note that she consistently puts her best foot forward, not only for participants but also in support of her teammates. Kara’s work ethic, compassion, humility, and dedication truly embody all of the CHRIST Promises. As one nominator shared, it is an honor to work alongside her and to learn from the example she sets every day.
