Lakeside’s Green Team celebrated Earth Day in April with a clean-up trash walk around campus. Staff and residents participated in the trash walk.
The Green Team also celebrated Arbor Day with a Trash Bash and Tree Dedication. The event included a short presentation on Arbor Day and trash facts. The culinary team prepared special themed items for the appetizers, and the Green Team wore their “Talkin’ Trash” T-shirts to celebrate the day.
Finally, the Green Team collected over 103 bags of gently used clothing and textiles over the 40 days of Lent to donate to the Clothes Bin.
