Since joining the Lakeside campus in April of 2023, Kristi Bickler-Gonzales has been a fantastic addition to the community and embodies our CHRIST Promises each and every day.
Kristi demonstrates and exemplifies our CHRIST Promises each time she is in the community – especially through her interactions, service, and relationships with others.
According to her nomination forms, Kristi is always willing to go above and beyond. She consistently offers assistance and has the mindset of serving others, no matter the task. Kristi’s work experience in HR and Retail has equipped her with the skills to be successful and to be an asset to Immanuel. Kristi demonstrates these skills by always taking appropriate steps with residents or families, or even when challenges arise on the weekends. Kristi is always willing to do whatever needs to be done. She has helped look for a resident’s lost cat, taken residents back to their apartments, helped new residents and families navigate the move-in/out process, cleaned up spills, swept floors, and even cleaned carpets.
Recently, Kristi has been helping with the Life Enrichment department with activities within memory support. She has brought her love of antiques and creativity by sharing her personal antique coin collection and photo album with residents. Kristi and the residents enjoy going down memory lane and remembering their youth. She enjoys having meaningful conversations with our memory support residents.
Since Kristi has been at Lakeside, she has not only supported the administration department but also assisted housekeeping, care staff, dining, environmental services, and life enrichment. She has assisted with projects for the Green Team, Resident Surveys, Husker Games, My Favorite Things, and Customer Service Trainings.
Kristi is always willing to do above and beyond to ensure our residents' and community needs are met. She is kind and considerate with our residents, family members, and staff. Kristi is a great team player and has been a wonderful addition to the Lakeside family.
Kristi is an employee who proudly embodies our CHRIST Promises daily and truly makes Lakeside a better place to live and work.
