Community and center holiday events make it a December to remember
January 12, 2026
December is always a special time across Immanuel, and this past season our communities and PACE® centers embraced the spirit of connection, creativity, and celebration in meaningful ways.
From festive décor to spiritual reflection, from joyful gatherings to nostalgic celebrations, we found ways to bring warmth and joy to residents, participants, and team members.

Deerfield: A forest of Christmas cheer
At Deerfield, team members transformed the community into a winter wonderland with more than 20 uniquely decorated Christmas trees, each crafted with creativity and care. Guided by the artistic leadership of Business Office Manager Lora Hall, the trees became a seasonal highlight, drawing residents into the hallways to explore every imaginative design.

Graceview Courtyard: Ringing in the New Year with retro fun
Graceview Courtyard wrapped up the holiday season with a lively New Year’s Eve Sock Hop, bringing residents together for an evening of music, dancing, and joyful celebration. With nostalgic décor and classic tunes setting the scene, residents laughed, danced, and welcomed 2026 in true throwback style. The event highlighted the community’s warm spirit and the simple joy of gathering together to celebrate a fresh start.

Immanuel Courtyard: A Christmas Eve pageant tradition
Residents and staff members gathered for a heartfelt Christmas Eve pageant, bringing the nativity story to life through music, reading, and community participation. The pageant featured residents and staff members playing the roles of the Nativity. The annual event highlighted the spiritual essence of the holiday and the cherished traditions that unite us.

Immanuel Pathways of Southwest Iowa: Santa comes to town
At Immanuel Pathways in Southwest Iowa, participants received a surprise visit from Santa himself. Laughter, photos, and holiday treats made the day festive, and the joy on participants’ faces captured the true magic of the season.

Arboretum Village: Jingle Mingle magic
Arboretum Village hosted its second annual Jingle Mingle holiday event. Residents and staff were invited to come together for sweet treats, warm beverages, and the kind of conversation and camaraderie that make this community feel like home.

Copper Shores Village: A holiday fair to remember
Copper Shores Village celebrated the holidays with a bustling holiday fair, complete with vendors, handmade goods, festive displays, and plenty of opportunities for residents to find thoughtful gifts or simply enjoy the merriment of the marketplace.

Grand Lodge: Holiday tea & a historic tour
Residents of Grand Lodge enjoyed a charming Holiday tea and tour at the beautifully decorated Arbor Lodge Mansion. This elegant outing blended seasonal tradition with local history. It was perfect for sparking nostalgia and wonder during the holidays.
Celebrating our mission together
Across every campus and center, these December celebrations were about more than festivities, they reflected our mission of Christ-centered service to seniors, each other, and the community. Through companionship, creativity, reflection, and joy, our teams brought light to the season in ways that honored residents’ and participants’ stories, strengthened community bonds, and enriched holiday traditions old and new.
