Immanuel, a leader in Nebraska for retirement living solutions for seniors, recently received a “Nebraska’s Safest Companies” award from the National Safety Council, Nebraska. The Safest Companies awards were established to celebrate those companies with commendable safety programs and better than National average safety records throughout the state.
“Being recognized as one of the safest companies in Nebraska is a true honor and a testament to our entire team’s commitment to safety,” said Eric Gurley, Immanuel president and CEO. “Nearly 2,200 residents and participants as well as over 1,200 employees entrust their safety to us every day. Our extensive safety programs reflect our commitment to them.”
Just this past year, Immanuel’s safety program underwent big changes. A new automated recurring work order system helped provide real-time reports and simplified processes for safety supplies and procedures across the organization’s 14 retirement living communities and three PACE® (Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly) centers. Additionally, several of the environmental service managers underwent thirty hours of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) training.
