Honoring those who go above and beyond is a focus for our leadership teams at Immanuel. Our employment and benefit programs build a culture where every voice is heard, where employees are given the tools to be prepared in their work and at the same time, encouraged to grow and develop new passions. Because at the heart of it all, our people are what makes Immanuel different.
Immanuel Awards of Excellence honors those employees who truly live our mission of Christ-Centered Service to Seniors, Each Other and the Community, and bring it to life through our six CHRIST Promises.
Our Christ-centered mission calls us to genuinely care and love one another; allowing us to share in other’s joys and sorrows.
Pastor Linda Walz, Trinity Campus
Pastor Linda Waltz, serving the Trinity Campus since 2013, accepts and helps each of us (residents and staff) wherever we are at on our faith journey. Pastor serves as the Trinity’s eyes and ears when residents are hospitalized or in rehab, allowing our team to better serve them when they return. She not only helps the resident in need but is there for the family members. She supports us all during difficult and joyous times alike.
We hold a deep regard for the dignity of each person; expressing gratitude for all that has been created by and is in the image of God.
Danielle Richardson, Pathways Central Iowa
There’s no one more suited for the Honor Award than Danielle. She radiates her pride in working for Immanuel and PACE to everyone, especially to our staff. Her support and development of our leadership team and team building exercises have had a larger impact than she will ever know. She seeks to motivate and inspire everyone around her and teachers our leaders to do the same.
Christ-centered love is acted out in our daily relationships where we give listening ears to hear, caring hands to touch, and loving eyes to behold each person as a child of God.
Jim Mann, The Landing
The relationships Jim has built with residents and employees alike are invaluable to furthering our mission of service. As a transportation employee, driving is sometimes a thankless job. But Jim handles it with a polite, easy-going, positive attitude. Jim goes above and beyond and is always willing to lend a helping hand delivering packages, emptying trashcans and volunteering as an actor in The Landing’s annual melodrama event.
We uphold the trust people place in us by remaining faithful to our mission; accountable for honest, ethical and responsible behaviors.
Jody Baratta, Trinity Village
Jodi is a care partner and so much more. She is truly concerned for the people she takes care of (including everyone around her) and is very attentive to their needs. She is always willing to help out her teammates to ensure everyone is taken care of. She has such great rapport with residents, their families and the entire team at Trinity Village.
We desire to model Jesus’ example of service. Jesus modeled and described serving as “the one who is greatest among you shall be your servant.” We embrace an attitude of serving by giving of ourselves to contribute to the well-being of others.
Mark Reinke, The Landing
Mark not only goes above and beyond for residents; he goes above and beyond for staff. As our “Jack of All” at The Landing, Mark is the first to volunteer to hang resident’s TVs or pictures; he is there if a fire alarm goes off in the middle of the night; and the first to pick up care staff during a snowstorm. Mark is outgoing and warm to residents, family and staff alike.
We intentionally work together using our God-given talents to achieve our mission.
Alicia DeLuna, Lakeside
Alicia is the very definition of teamwork. She is an active member of our Culture Club and chairperson for the Safety Council. As housekeeping supervisor, she inspires her team and co-workers each and every day to produce a higher quality of work and is committed to using her talents and positive attitude to faithfully serve residents. Alicia takes enormous pride in her work and motivates her team members toward excellence.
