At Immanuel Village, careers go beyond the workplace — they embody community, family, and personal growth. Sisters Michaela and Ashly Diggins are great examples of how working here can lead to meaningful connections and fulfilling opportunities.

The sisters began their journey as high school servers in the dining room at Immanuel Village, where they learned the value of service and teamwork. Today, Michaela is the community’s Retirement Living Consultant, and Ashly is the Administrative and Sales Assistant. Together, they have grown into pivotal roles that support residents and their families, all while working side-by-side.

Michaela’s career has been shaped by her drive to grow and eagerness to learn. Starting as a server, she took a brief break before returning as a medication aide. Her dedication earned her a promotion to Lead Medication Aide, then Assistant Sales and Administration Assistant, and finally to her current role as Retirement Living Consultant.

“I’m always driven to learn new things, so to me, it means a lot to be in a company where there are so many different things you could do and learn from,” she said. “Even if it has nothing to do with the current position that you are in, you are still able to go off and see what that’s like.”

In her current role, Michaela takes pride in guiding families through finding the right retirement options and building lasting connections with residents, their loved ones, and staff.

Like her sister, Ashly’s career has flourished at Immanuel. After starting as a server, she expanded her experience by working as a care partner and clinic scheduler with Immanuel Pathways before returning to Immanuel Village as an Administrative and Sales Assistant.

Ashly values the welcoming culture at Immanuel.

“They make it easy to grow within Immanuel; the opportunities are endless,” she said. “It’s important to get your foot in the door, and once you fit in with the culture, I feel like everyone just makes you feel welcome.”

Michaela and Ashly’s shared story reflects how Immanuel nurtures talent and fosters an environment where employees can thrive. Their story shows how a career at Immanuel is more than work — it’s a chance to make a real difference in people’s lives while growing your own.
