On May 9, Copper Shores Village hosted its first Mother’s Day Tea, welcoming more than 75 residents and their guests for a well-attended afternoon event. Residents were encouraged to invite a special lady, and many did; some bringing up to four guests.
This RSVP event saw an overwhelmingly positive response. Life Enrichment Manager Amanda Jo coordinated the experience in collaboration with Chef Matt. Amanda Jo served as host, assisting with seating and refreshments, while Chef Matt created a menu of finger sandwiches, including popular selections like strawberry cream cheese and egg salad cucumber. Guests also enjoyed mini cheesecake pies and homemade lemonade.
The two-hour event featured live music from local harpist Holly, whose performance added to the atmosphere. She shared afterward, “This is a wonderful community and this event was so special…you could feel the love in the room.”
Feedback from residents and guests was very positive, and the team plans to bring the Mother’s Day Tea back as an annual event.
