The Life Enrichment and Recreation Therapy professionals at Immanuel gathered with the Immanuel Foundation and Volunteer Services teams for a groovy networking session with a disco twist! The group explored innovation as the active part of creativity, sharing ideas to deepen engagement through resident and participant life stories. Best practices from recent months included community outings, resident-led groups, gratitude-focused programming, Lego events, virtual reality, cruise-themed activities, and more.
The session wrapped up with a lively social drumming experience led by Stephanie Nimmer, Life Enrichment Manager at Arboretum Village, and resident DJ Jim, who spun disco favorites while sharing fun facts about each track. Special thanks to the Arboretum Village Culinary Team for a delicious lunch and to Environmental Services and Maintenance for transforming the community room into a disco dream, complete with dazzling lights!
