The CHRIST Promises Award is a quarterly award granted to outstanding co-workers nominated by their peers. This award meets the Immanuel standards of compassion, honor, relationships, integrity, serve, and teamwork.
Chelsea McAfee began her journey at The Landing on August 19, 2019, as a lead server and transitioned into the part-time administrative assistant role in June of 2022. Since then, she has become the welcoming heart of our community.
As the point person at the main desk, Chelsea graciously navigates calls from independent living and assisted living residents, families, vendors, and teammates alike. No matter the request, she is consistently kind, patient, and helpful. Chelsea always greets everyone with a warm smile, takes the time to truly listen, and ensures each person feels loved, heard, and well-served, even when residents stop by just to chat.
Outside of work, Chelsea’s dedication and care extend fully into her family life. She and her husband, AJ, are proud parents to two busy daughters, Lily and Annie. Between volleyball, gymnastics, piano lessons, and school drop-offs, some might say her full-time job is being their personal Uber driver. Their family also includes two very spoiled pups, Mabel and Ruby, who are lucky enough to enjoy homemade meals prepared by Chelsea herself.
Chelsea also has a wonderfully creative side. Each Halloween, she designs themed costumes for her family, and they often take home first place in costume contests. Whether at work, at home, or in her creative pursuits, Chelsea exemplifies heart, service, and dedication, making her a truly deserving recipient of the 1st quarter CHRIST Promises recognition.
Thank you for all you do, Chelsea!
We are happy to have you on our team. Congratulations on being named the first quarter’s CHRIST Promises Award recipient.
