Immanuel is pleased to announce the promotion of Beth Nodes to Vice President of Experience. Beth has spent her career championing the needs of older adults and helping people feel seen, heard, and valued. In her new role, she will continue to strengthen and expand Immanuel’s resident and participant experience strategy across the organization.

“Beth’s leadership, execution, sense of fun, and passion for creating exceptional experiences have helped shape both the culture and the success of our Experience team,” said Immanuel President and CEO Julie Kaminski. “In her new role, she will continue to build on this strong foundation, guiding and expanding our resident and participant experience strategy.”

A career built on advocacy and connection

An Omaha native, Beth earned her social work degree from the University of Kansas and has dedicated more than three decades to serving others. Before joining Immanuel, she worked as Nebraska’s Long-Term Care Ombudsman, advocating for residents and ensuring their voices were heard.

Beth joined Immanuel through a social work and Care Navigation leadership opportunity and quickly found a place where her passion for relationship-centered care could thrive.

“Rolling out Care Navigation across Immanuel was one of the most meaningful experiences of my career,” Beth said. “I’m proud of the collaboration we built with our social work teams and the impact we’ve made for residents and participants. Over the years, I’ve loved getting to know the people we serve, learning their stories and finding opportunities to make their experience even better.”

Understanding each person’s unique journey continues to guide her leadership today.

Expanding the impact of the experience team

Since joining Immanuel, Beth’s responsibilities have grown significantly. What began with social work and Care Navigation has expanded to include life enrichment, wellness, volunteer services, and support for several clinical initiatives.

She credits the success of those programs to the dedicated team members she works alongside every day.

“I have the privilege of working with people who are passionate, wise, relational, and deeply committed to excellence,” Beth said. “My role is to support, encourage, and empower them to do their best work. I believe in celebrating successes, being honest when challenges arise, and helping people grow into what’s next.”

Under Beth’s leadership, Immanuel has expanded wellness initiatives, strengthened volunteer engagement, and continued to use resident and participant feedback to shape meaningful improvements across communities and PACE® centers

Defining the Immanuel experience

For Beth, the word “experience” goes far beyond activities or programs. It reflects every interaction, relationship, and moment of care that residents and participants encounter.

“Experience is how we show up every day,” Beth said. “It’s how we walk alongside someone through a difficult diagnosis, welcome a participant into a day center, or support a resident during a challenging season of life. There’s no one-size-fits-all approach. It’s about understanding each person and finding meaningful ways to meet their physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.”

She believes Immanuel’s focus on experience is one of the qualities that sets the organization apart within the senior living and healthcare industry.  As resident and participant needs continue to evolve, Beth is focused on ensuring Immanuel remains responsive and innovative while never losing sight of what matters most.

“Our populations are more diverse than ever, with people arriving at different stages of life and with different expectations,” she said. “The key is listening. We have to continue listening, adapting, and creating opportunities that reflect what residents and participants tell us they want and need.”

Guided by mission

Beth says Immanuel’s mission serves as the foundation for every decision she makes.

“Our mission is the why behind everything we do,” she said. “One of the values I keep at the top of my list is integrity: faithfully doing the right thing for the right reasons, always. That principle guides our work and helps us deliver excellence in the way we serve others.”

Her approach combines empathy, authenticity, and accountability, creating a leadership style that emphasizes meaningful relationships while keeping teams focused on achieving results.

Looking ahead

As she steps into her new role, Beth is eager to help shape the future of senior living and healthcare at Immanuel.

“I’m excited to be part of the leadership team as we continue exploring new ways to serve older adults,” Beth said. “Whether through innovative healthcare services, creative engagement opportunities, or finding ways to exceed expectations every day, I want Immanuel to remain at the forefront of senior care. There’s so much opportunity ahead, and I’m grateful to be part of it.”

She also shared a message for Immanuel team members:

“Immanuel has a remarkable history and a mission that has never wavered. What makes this organization special is not only who we serve, but how we serve. I hope team members know I’m always willing to listen, collaborate, and walk alongside them as we continue creating places where dignity, safety, and purpose are at the center of everything we do.”
